Got myself a new car Or at least it was new to me Bought it from a friend of mine and it's got some history It's dented up on the outside The inside's falling apart Put my key in the ignition It wouldn't even start CHORUS; Like spilling some salt underneath a ladder Or Stepping on a pavement crack I should have known from the broken wing mirror It's nothing but bad luck that Black cat Cadillac The roof’s got more holes than Swiss cheese So I get wet in the rain The motor started burning some oil one day More smoke than a steaming train No air conditioning means that I get Cooked on a sunny day A delivery van backed into the door Then he just drove away CHORUS Someone ran up the back of me When I was sitting at a red light Now the back window rattles and the boot won't open or close just right It floated down a flooded street and the interior flooded as well I bet the Devil's laughing cos I bought the car from Hell CHORUS x 2

Bad sugar, yeah you taste so sweet You taste so good but you're no good for me Bad sugar, makes me feel alright But if I meet you in the evening you'll keep me up all night I've got to quit you sugar My stomach's feeling bad If I don't keep away from you It's going to drive me mad Sugar, my stomach's feeling bad If I don't quit you soon it's going to drive me mad Bad sugar, I don't want you back Bad sugar don't you be coming back I don't want your midnight snack Bad sugar, you taste so sweet Oh you're so addictive by you're bad for my sanity

I knew a little girl called Mary Jane Who used to sell secrets and share the blame I had to teach her a lesson or two About what little secrets can do You'd better walk a mile in their shoes I knew a young lady called Georgia Brown Who spread her little rumors all over town I had to teach her a lesson or two About what little rumors can do You'd better walk a mile in their shoes Sticks and stones may break my bones And I've never been injured by harsh words alone But all the king's horses and all the king's men Can't put a heart back together again I know an old man called Quite Uncouth Who used to tell tall tales from is youth I better teach him a lesson or two About what little lies can do You'd better walk a mile in their shoes

It was down at Old Joe's bar room On he Corner of a square They were serving drinks as usual and the usual crowd was there On my left sat big Joe Mckeddie And his eyes were bloodshot red And he turned his face to the people These were the very words he said CHORUS; Let her go, let her go, God bless her Wherever she may be She may search this whole wide world over Never find a sweet a man as me I went down to Saint James' Infirmary I saw my baby there She was stretched out on a long white table So sweet, so cool and so fair CHORUS When I die, oh please bury me In my high top Stetson hat Put a gold coin on my watch chain So my Gang will know that I died standing pat CHORUS I want the gamblers as my pall bearers Three pretty women to sing a song Stick a jazz band on my hearse wagon Raise hell while I roll along Well that's the end of my story So let's have another round of booze And if anyone should ask you what's wrong with me I got the Saint James Infirmary Blues CHORUS

I've got nothing but a car and twenty Dollars to my name Yeah I lost my guitar after last night's poker game I spent 2 on water and 5 on gasoline When I looked in my pocket I was down to lucky thirteen I spent 12 dollars and made myself a Diddley Bow I’ll play it with a screwdriver and make tonight a jolly good show I spent my last dollar on a paper at the corner store I got a show tonight to pay me twenty more One last drink before I go on stage (It’s a good thing they’re on the house) I'll make some noise tonight and earn twenty dollars to my name

about

This is my debut EP. Five tracks I've very happy with, wading into the waters of Blues and Roots music.
